For those of you who know me, you know I'm a very task-oriented person. I have small lists of what I can get done during each of Noah's naps, and I clean up after him all day. Sadly, his favorite toy is one of those little play vaccuums b/c he can imitate what he has seen
us do so much. My husband thinks I can get a little obsessed. Although he is also a very productive and clean person, he has no problem relaxing at home on a day off wearing PJ pants and a tee-shirt, and just playing with Noah. I've never really been cut-out for this; I always have at least one outting planned for each of my days off during the week, and I always "get ready for the day." I'm not an uptight person; I love to be lazy and watch TV and play with my son, it's just that I love to do it in a clean house with the sound of the dishwasher in the background.
Well, surprise. Today is different. It's 10am and I'm still wearing what I slept in last night. Yes, I have brushed my teeth, but I am unshowered and my bed is unmade. Yes, I have bathed Noah this morning, but he currently smells like pee. During his morning nap I drank coffee and watched a rerun of Charmed.
Noah and I have had a fabulous time this morning, too. He discovered how to hide behind the curtains, and that when he pops out I will holler and laugh and tickle him for several minutes.
So I will admit I have an outting planned for today, but it is to Walmart because we have like 4 diapers left. I'm determined to wear what my mom used to call "grubbies" and I will remain unshowered.
New Year. New me. Well, almost; I have to go make my bed.

Good for you. And what a face!
What adorable pictures.
I wish I could be that productive around the house. I just can't seem to get it together, so never quite enjoy lazing around because I feel too guilty about what still needs to be done :-).
Hope you enjoyed your lazy day...
You're the only person I know whose New Year's resolution involves being LESS clean and LESS organized. Sick Jackie, just sick.
Hi Noah! I really feel like picking you up and squeezing really hard! Would that be OK?
If you need some help with the being lazy in a dirty house thing... just let me know and I will give you some helpful tips. I have it down to a science. Noah is getting so big!! Are you guys coming up anytime soon?
LOVE that last picture of him! he is such a cutie! glad you enjoyed a lazy day...you deserve it!
I wish some of the neatness could rub off on me. Sure, I prefer to live in a clean and tidy environment, but it doesn't happen.
I'm also OCD about the cleaning thing. Though on the weekends I often don't shower until mid-afternoon. Because I am cleaning and get all sweaty doing this, so shower afterwards.
I think this might be my personal favorite blog of yours. Those pictures are tooo cute!!
I ALWAYS plan a million "errands" to run with Reese during the day. She's too much like me... completely incapable of staying in one place all day.
We are overdue on Mall Day. Although, I think the suggested "trip to Jackie's" seems more in order. =)
There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting something accomplished each and every day - as for me, I simply choose to accomplish things in my pj's!!!
too funny - Noah has a fabulous little grin!
Back again - the big boy bed thing, Little D was just a couple of months shy of his 2nd birthday when we moved him into his bed. He shares a room with his big brother so I think that made the transition easier. He wants to do everything his big brother does:) He was such a monkey and had been climbing out of his crib for so long that I figured he'd be better off falling out of bed from time to time then dropping from the top of his crib. But still, I remember thinking he was sooooo big in that crib, but once moved to a bed, he looked soooooo small again.
