Music Talk

Jennie and Rachel have both posted this. I'm following the trend...

1. A song with the name of a city in the title or text.
"I Left My Heart in San Francisco" - Tony Bennett

2. A song you’ve listened to repeatedly when depressed at some point in your life.
“Goodbye” - Plankeye
"A Long December" - Counting Crows

3. A great song in a language other than English.
"Oh Magnum Mysterium" - Lauridson
“Ave Maria” – Il Divo

4. Your least favorite song on one of your favorite albums.
“Wait” – The Afters, I Wish We All Could Win

5. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to locate a copy of.
“A Million Tears” - Kasey Chambers

6. A song that reminds you of summer but doesn’t mention summer at all.
“Brown Eyed Girl” - Van Morrison
"Still Fighting It" - Ben Folds
"Free Falling" - Tom Petty (I obviously love this category)

7. A song that sounds to you like being happy feels.
“Wouldn't It Be Nice” – The Beach Boys

8. A song that reminds you of high school.
“My Sherona” and "Footloose" - we always played these on the way to soccer games.

9. A song that reminds you of college.
“Santa Monica” – Everclear

10. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise dislike.
“Boyz in the Hood” – Dynamite Hack
"Picture" - Kid Rock

11. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to.
“Love Bites” – Def Leppard (Going with my sister on this one, and again, Thanks to Rich)

12. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise difficult situation.
“Run for the Roses” – Dan Fogelberg

i love your list!!

LOVE still fighting it--love the whole ALBUM...

just seeing "wouldn't it be nice" (and hearing it in my head) made me smile! :)

and how funny...the reason i put "p-funk" as my college song is b/c that's the song me & my friends would listen to on the way to soccer!!

one last thing: i SERIOUSly almost put the kid rock song on mine. not KIDding. :) ha ha :)

LOVE "Brown-Eyed Girl." Nice choice. Like Rebekah, "Wouldn't It Be Nice" just made me smile. And of course, "Run for the Roses" reminds me of dear old Dad. =)

Rachel, actually, "Leader of the Band" should remind you of dad. "Run for the Roses" is about the Kentucky Derby. :) Of course, he did always play that song...
