Consistency, please!

Okay, so Saturday night Lauren slept 8 hours. Sunday night she slept 8 1/2 hours. Monday night was a record 11 hours! She's been sleeping until about 8:30am too, so I've been able to get things done in the morning before putting on the "mom" hat. Woo-hoo! Greg and I were happy and rested, and looking forward to more full nights of sleep as our little 3-month old appeared to be sleeping through the night regularly.

Last night she woke up at 3am and 5am , then at 7am for the day. Huh? We did nothing differently, so what the heck? Does she not know that she is the easy child and is therefore not supposed to do such things? The high-maintenance stuff is reserved for Noah.

So just as the bags under my eyes finally disappeared, they resurfaced. I'm hooked up to a caffeine IV and am open to suggestions...

Hard to believe she's already 3 months! Hope the sleep gets regular for all of you soon. I'm sorry I have no suggestions but since I'm not a mommy yet I can't really say. Maybe keep her awake longer during the day? Your a great mommy and I'm sure it will all work out.

Yeah. I can sympathize. 'Member when I wrote that Judah was sleeping in 4-hour increments? Not so much. Recently he's been up every two hours at night and has suddenly gotten very whiny and grunty. We think it's gas. In any case, it SUCKS.

I love how kids go through phases, but they never tell the parents when the new phase begins. :) Keep up the good work and she'll get back on schedule soon.

Hmmmm.... unless my almost 4-year old is sleeping in our bed, she still wakes up in the middle of the night to come crawl in with us. If she is in our bed and sleeping, her long legs tend to sprawl sideways many times and kick us in the face, stomach, chest. No words of advice here. I wish :)

Is she eating when she wakes up? Maybe it's a growth spurt? That's rough! You are doing a great job, though, as a mom of 2!

If it makes you feel any better, Brett has decided to boycott dinner the last few days. I'm like great... he'll be all skinny at his 1 year appt and the dr will think we don't feed him!

Ava did that at 3,6,9 months!

I hope last night was better and you were able to get some rest!

Kiss that sweet baby for me!

Whew! I can only imagine how that must be with a two year old too! Crazy times!

She's just trying to keep you on your toes! :)

I echo the growth spurt theory. Our 2nd would sleep great for a few nights then decide he wanted to eat during the night again.

This, too, shall pass, as my mother always says!

I feel for you. The sleep deprived state is difficult! It only lasts for a little while though. I hope she sleeps well for you tonight though! She has shown that she can do it!!!

My vote is a growth spurt. Jackson did that a few weeks ago after getting into a routine of sleeping through the night. (whatever that means..) He was up at 3 am for about a week straight. He's back to sleeping through the night again...for now. =) Hang in there! I'm sure she'll get back in the groove very soon.

hmm... advice. Well, given that I have a 6 and 4 year old in my bed at the moment, I'm not sure I am the right person to be shelling out sleeping advice. My only child that sleeps through the night is my 19 month old... go figure.

Good luck and have another cup of coffee!
