Gimme a Break!

In the midst of unpacking hundreds of boxes, trying to find sheets for the beds and towels for the bathroom, all the while trying to entertain 2 kids and do my job...

...don't say we don't know how to take a break and have some fun in the Texas heat!

Noah doesn't really grasp that it is a slip-n-slide. He views it more as a run-n-jump. I don't question it though; it entertains Lauren, cools me off as I sit in the 105 degree heat (no kidding), and occupies a very rowdy 2 1/2 year old. At this point I wouldn't even care if it were a rip-n-throw--it was the best $9 I spent all summer!

Yes, I know I haven't posted any pictures of the new house yet, and I've gotten some flack from some of you, but I must say that I am that personality type that just can't post photos of newly laid wood floors and freshly painted walls if the rooms still have crusty old ceiling fans and cracked brass light fixtures circa 1994. Soon though, I promise...

In the mean time, go get yourself a run-n-jump and have some fun!

Noah cracks me up in those pictures. He looks like he's having a ball! I like Lauren's little tub thing...is that for the bathtub or is it a summer pool thingie? Regardless, it looks nice and refreshing. I'd love to have something like that to stick Jackson in so he wouldn't go anywhere for a few seconds. =)

105? Good grief. I don't miss the Texas heat at all.

(Dave says hello, by the way)

The pictures are too funny. Noah is hilarious running and jumping at the end. Gosh I may by myself one and lay on it all afternoon tomorrow with a umbrella and lots of cold drinks. Arkansas heat is a close second to the Texas heat. Woo Girl..stay cool! Can't wait to see pictures of the new house, but I'm with you on waiting until its more what you want it to be.

Lauren's all, hmm, looks fun, but I'll just sit here and stay cool, thanks. Girls are always smarter.
