Giving Thanks, again
So it's become a tradition in our little family to have Thursday to ourselves, and make it a quiet, casual, fun family day. Since we celebrate "official" Thanksgiving dinner on Friday (with extended family), we've spent Thanksgiving Day for the past two years relaxing at home, going to a nearby park, watching the Cowboys, and feasting on chili and Shiners. May I present our Thanksgiving dinner:

Have a wonderful day!

That's awesome. We have a bring your favorite appetizer party the night before Thanksgiving for the early family arrivals. I love it.
You didn't put it in a bread bowl this year. I'm disappointed. Slipping already? Sheesh.
:)
Pancake Recipe:
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg (beaten)
3 Tbsp butter, melted (I don't always add the butter, but it is good)
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter.
Mix until smooth. I use a whisk to try and get rid of too many lumps.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or large frying pan over medium high heat. (I use the spray Pam)
Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
My sweet hubby loves his with creamy pb in between each & then hot syrup poured over all. I found you can melt about 1/4 cup of PB in the microwave and add it to your pancake mix. PB Pancakes...good stuff.
That's the best tradition EVER!!!!!! :)
