First of all, I don't know ho the weather has been for the rest of you, but Dallas has been slammed with thunderstorm after thunderstorm for the past several weeks. A couple of weeks ago, Greg and I were glued to the TV watching the "severe weather warnings" in our area when we heard a loud noise right outside the window. We opened the back door to find this:

Basically the umbrella caught a gust of wind, flew out, and shattered the glass top of the patio table. The specks you can see are a mixture of glass, rain, and nickel-sized hail. We, aka: Greg, got it all cleaned up but we still have no patio table on which to usher in Memorial Day and grilling season.
In other news, we went to an FC Dallas pro soccer game this past weekend. Noah is their youngest and yet their biggest fan:

We went with some friends, so after the game we let the kids run around the deck of the stadium. They started running around by this other cute little boy, and I glanced over at the boy's dad (I assume). It was Martin Grammatica - the starting kicker for the Dallas Cowboys! For us Cowboys fans, this was huge. I had to walk over and shake his hand, congratulate him on a good season, and wish him luck next year.
Well, that's all folks. Sorry nothing else fabulous or exciting has happened but I'll keep you posted...

Nothing ELSE exciting or fabulous happened? What do you want, your roof to collapse and then to meet Landon Donovan? Sheesh, woman. Some of us don't meet celebrities every day.
(Although did I tell you about that time I met Fabio at Sam's Club?)
That must have been some storm! Hope you find a new patio set soon so you can enjoy your summer outdoors.
Noah is so cute!
Yes, Rachel, I heard of the Fabio meeting. And yes, I would take a roof collapse anyday if it meant I would also meet Landon Donovan. I do sleep in his jersey like every night anyway...
Actually, a bunch of shingles blew off our roof but it was an easy fix. Two neighbors had their fences blow completely down and another neighbor's roof pretty much did collapse and they had to get a whole new one. Crappy storm.
blah, blah blah... soccer... blah blah... second-rate kicker... whoop dee doo!!!
=)
I'm up for mall day!! AND ALWAYS up for Starbucks.
Of course, one of these days we are going to have to ditch the kiddos and have a real night out... As in dinner that doesn't come from a counter by a large cardboard cow holding a sign with the word, "chikin".
alcohol optional, but always welcome. =)
